Duties and Responsibilities at Lexus of Calgary
As an auto service technician at Lexus of Calgary, you will receive repair orders from our dispatcher; at that point, you will take the vehicle to the stall area, diagnose the cause of the problem, and perform the work specified on the repair order. If, during your diagnostic, you find out that you will need to perform additional work, or that you cannot complete the repairs in the allotted time, or that the requested repair is not necessary, you will need to let the service advisor know. When you perform work, you will need to communicate with the parts department to get parts that you need; you may also be required to tag and save old parts in certain cases. It is your responsibility to document any work that you perform, and to perform a quality check to make sure that work is done to Lexus standards. Finally, you must road test the vehicle to ensure that your repair work has addressed the concerns or complaints that the customer has expressed.
Additional Technician Responsibilities
In addition, you will need to know and understand all regulations that govern service repair work; you must follow our safety and housekeeping policies, and you must keep up to date with factory technical bulletins. There will be regular training classes that you must attend, as well. These will keep you up to speed with the newest service techniques.
