The car of the week for this week is a 2014 Lexus ES 300h, Stock #171002A.
Tung: Hey Leigh [SP], have you seen Alyc?
Leigh: No, Alyc’s not here today. He keeps sending me these photos from the Dominican Republic.
Tung: No, we’re supposed to shoot Car of the Week right now.
Leigh: Looks like you’re on your own.
Tung: But I’m usually the shooter editor.
Leigh: Looks like you’re doing it all, pal.
Tung: Okay, cue the music, then?
Man: This is a journey into sound. This is a journey into sound. A journey which along the way will bring to you new color, new dimensions, new values.
Man 2: [inaudible 00:00:47] is ready, I throw this switch.
Tung: Hi there, welcome to Car of the Week. My name’s Tung and I’ll be your host this week because, as you just saw, Alyc is in the Dominican. Alyc, why didn’t you take me with you, you know we coulda shot the Car of the Week down there! But we are here, and today’s Car of the Week is this 2014 ES 300 Hybrid. Now, not only does this car only have 56,000 kilometers, but it also gets over 900 kilometers to a full tank of gas. Now, what engine can do that? Let’s pop the hood and take a look. You’re looking at a 2.5 liter, 4 cylinder, 200 horsepower Hybrid engine, that only uses 5.1 liters per hundred kilometers on the highway, and only 4.7 liters per hundred kilometers in the city.
So this ES 300 Hybrid originally originally retailed for over $56,000 back in 2014. It was the top-of-the-line technology package, and it came with things such as advanced pre-collision system, dynamic radar cruise control, lane departure alert, blind spot monitor, rear cross-traffic alert, and clearance and backup sensors. Let’s take a peek inside.
We are inside the vehicle sitting on the premium leather seats that are in great shape. Honestly, this whole interior is in great shape, like this dash is immaculate. Right here is where you…is your voice activated navigation screen, and that’s where you’ll also see your backup camera visuals. Beneath that is the Mark Levinson sound system, and honestly, I don’t need to tell you how amazing this sound system sounds. I’m sure you’ve seen previous Car of the Weeks, right? And looking towards the back, all the back windows have sunshades on them, and the very back one is powered, so if you have passengers, it’s perfect for that. I mean, you know, I could go on forever about the options in here, but this video would be way too long.
So that concludes our Car of the Week. If you want to learn more about this 2014 ES 300 Hybrid that only has 56,000 kilometers, you gotta click the link below. Or you know what, come down to Lexus Calgary and see it in person.
