Alyc: Hey everyone, Alyc Keith here once again with Car of the Week. I’m down here at the car show. Anyways, what a week we’ve had. We’ve had over 5,000 views from last week’s video. Thank you everyone who tuned in, we gave out a lotta car show tickets. Thanks so much for the support. Today will be probably one of the only times our car of the week is gonna be a new car. We’re down here and I wanna show you the Lexus LC 500. Let’s go take a look.

Okay, we’re down here at the car show, and we’re here with our car of the week which is the Lexus LC 500h. It’s a beautiful car. I have Mikayla Grace here from Lexus of Calgary, she’s gonna talk more about the car. Mikayla, take it over.

Mikayla: Thanks, Alyc.

Alyc: You bet.

Mikayla: My name’s Mikayla, and I’m a product advisor with Lexus of Calgary, and it’s my pleasure to introduce to you the newest vehicle in the Lexus lineup, which is the Lexus LC 500 and 500h. It’s designed with the spirit of the LFA in mind and it’s the concept car LF-LC production vehicle. It was debuted at the 2012 Detroit auto show, and it’s officially here. Excited to introduce this to you.

At the front you’ll see the radical yet elegant design. We have the arrowhead daytime running lights, with the triple beam projection head lamps. Following across the vehicle is the spindle design. You’ll see the carbon fiber roof and the low profile. And coming to the rear is one of my favorite elements, is the Afterburner headlamps, which is a jet engine design. Behind the tail lamp, you’ll see a mirror, and it reflects the tail lamp so it looks like a continuous endless LED taillight.

This has redefined the hybrid performance vehicle with a multi-stage hybrid engine. The 3.5 liter V6 and electric motors produce 354 horsepower. The new multi-stage hybrid system adds a four-speed gearbox to the hybrid CBT drivetrain. This offers the power and flexibility of a 10-speed gearbox and with quicker acceleration.

I’m now inside the LC 500. Take a look at this beautiful car. Under the hood of the LC 500, it’s equipped with the same smooth, powerful, high-revving, 5 liter V8 engine as the RCF, producing 471 horsepower and 398 pound per feet of torque. The vehicle showcases the all new 10-speed transmission, and is capable of 0 to 60 in 4.4 seconds. This vehicle showcases the brand new rear-wheel-drive platform for Lexus, and will be…and represents the next chapter in Lexus performance.

Alyc: Thanks so much for tuning in this week. Mikayla Grace, thank you, you did a great job, maybe we’ll see you again. And we really hope to see you down at the car show. Have a wonderful week.
