Car of the Week: 2015 Lexus IS 350
The car of the week for this week is a 2015 Lexus IS 350, Stock #170818A.
Alyc Keith here for another episode of “Car Of The Week.” It’s a beautiful day out, 16 degrees. I thought we’d film at Carbon Park. Carbon Park is about a five-minute drive from our dealership. We wanted to take in all the scenery. I hope you stayed up Saturday night and had a chance to finish watching the Flames game. There’s nothing better than beating the Canucks. What a great game. A quick update for you, our car of the week last week that we started filming in the showroom, the white RX, that car is sold. Cross off your list. Don, congratulations. I hope you’re really enjoying it. Today I have a new beauty that just came in 2015, IS 350, all-wheel drive. This is the ultrasonic blue. So it’s a very special color. Just came in.
Let’s take a look under the hood. Here we are looking at the 3.5 liter V6 that’s in this IS 350 all-wheel drive. This thing produces 306 horsepower with 277 pounds of torque. It’s a six-speed, super electronically controlled automatic with paddle shift. Please also note you’ll see the batteries on the left-hand side. That is there to offset the driver. You know what, let’s take this thing for a drive. Here we are driving the car of the week. There’s only 55,298 kilometers on this car. This car is very well-equipped being the Series 2. You’re gonna have blind spot monitors. You’re gonna have a rear cross-traffic alert for navigation. And heats it generally well for when it’s a little chilly. So this is all you really need. I’m gonna go around the corner here. And I was gonna go and ask for a mode and show you how to drive, but we’re actually in a playground zone. So all right, we’re out the playground zone. So let’s see. I’m gonna go to…That’s F Sport, F Sport Plus. Let’s have a little listen. Wow, just like that, 306 horsepower kicks in pretty quick. And there’s a lot of power there if you need it. As I’m speaking about before, the car proof that we talk of every week, accident-free, one-owner car. This car retailed back in 2015 as for Series 2 for $55,000. I have to get back to the store. Thanks for tuning in. I’ll see you next week.
