Car of the Week: 2013 Lexus ES 350
The car of the week for this week is a 2013 Lexus ES 350, Stock #3688A.
Alyc Keith here once again for Car of the Week. Happy Monday. Today, there was an eclipse. Did you guys take a break and take a look? It was pretty cool. Hope everyone had a great weekend. Speaking of the weekend, D’Arcy Ranch hosted the Lexus of Calgary in snappy [SP] Toyota golf tournament, and what a great day it was yesterday. Thank you so much for the…to all the friendly staff there. We had a great time and look forward to seeing you again next week.
Today we have a 2013 Lexus ES. I think this might be the first ES we’ve done for Car of the Week. This is the…considered the sixth generation ES. And in the sixth generation, it was built off of the Avalon platform, where the previous five generations were built off the Camry platform. So that’s a little tidbit for you. Also, the ES was manufactured in Japan, and they were not sold there. And today, the ES is manufactured in Kentucky, and it’s the first Lexus that was ever built in the United States. So, there you have it. This is a Technology Package. Before we go inside, to point a few things on the exterior. We have the 18-inch wheels. It’s got blind spot monitors, being the tech package. It’s got the beautiful panoramic sunroof, which we’ll get a closer picture at in a bit. Teagan, let’s take a look under the hood.
Here we are under the hood of the 2013 Lexus ES 350. You’re looking at 3.5-liter V6 engine that produces 268 horsepower and 240 pounds of torque. This is a front-wheel drive vehicle, but it comes with vehicle stability control and traction control. And with a good set of winter tires, it’s really good to drive in the winter. Let’s take a look in the cabin.
2013 Lexus ES Technology Package. This thing gives you everything. This vehicle technology package retailed for $54,571 back in 2013. Couple of the main features now are the blind spot monitors, which we talked about outside, the Pre-Collision System, the rear cross traffic alert, clearance and backup sensors. It has a beautiful panoramic roof. Teagan, if you wanna shoot the panoramic roof there. Nice and big. And if you wanna turn around, Teagan. Also, we have a power rear sunshade, and of course, it has a sunshade for the back seats. It has the Mark Levinson sound system, which we’re gonna check out in a second. Cooling seats. Memory seats. Bluetooth. All that good stuff. Radar cruise control. This thing has everything. And of course, what do we talk about every week? Car proof. This is an accident-free one owner car. It has been bought and serviced here. And you would never guess by the condition of the car that it has 110,000 kilometers on it. So it’s in great shape, it’s priced well. Let’s have a listen to that Mark Levinson sound system.
It’s a little Garth Brooks for you. It has been requested by some of my friends at [inaudible 00:03:04] some Garth Brooks. Thanks so much for tuning in in this week. For more information on this car, click on the link below. We’ll see you next week.
