Alyc: Hi, everyone. Alyc Keith here once again for Car of the Week. What a week it’s been. Very busy here. The sun is shining. Weather’s been great. Business has been good. I’m wearing this ensemble for our friends up north. I know as a Flames fan, it’s tough, but, you know, I’m sporting these colors. The Oilers pulled out a big win last night. So I hate to say it, go Oilers. I don’t know.

Anyways, we have a real treat for Car of the Week this week. We wanted to do a quick update. Our GS, which was car of the week I think two weeks ago, has been sold. And you might be thinking where am I standing. Well, I’m in a nail salon. Mother’s Day is coming up. The nail salon is almost fully operational. It’s looking good. I’ll give you an update when it is complete, but let’s go take a look at the car of the week.

Alyc Keith here once again for Car of the Week. This is our car of the week. It’s a 2004 Lexus SC 430 with extremely low kilometers. You don’t get a car like this in every day. I have Les Krawec with me. Les has been with Lexus for a very long time, brings a lot of experience. I think he’s won salesman of the year over 10 times, if I’m not mistaken. Les, you took this car in. Why don’t you tell us a little about yourself and little about the car.

Les: Well, as Alyc says, I’ve been here since 2002. I have many clients. This was one of my client’s cars. He traded it in to us. History on the vehicle. He picked up the vehicle from Victoria, BC, and it had 9,000 kilometers on it. Brought the car to the the dealership. It has full maintenance records on it. It has a clean CarProof, meaning no accidents, and the car’s been…never has been winter-driven. So it looks and drives brand new.

Alyc: Right on. Thank you very much, Les.

Les: My pleasure.

Alyc: Let’s take a look under the…look under the hood of this beauty. This thing is mint. You are looking at a 4.3 liter, 8-cylinder engine that produces 300 horsepower with 325 pounds of torque. You can eat your dinner off there. I don’t think it gets any cleaner than this. Let’s take a look inside the car. We’re inside the car of the week. The SC 430 came out in 2001, and actually is the second generation. Years prior, it was called the SC 400. So this is the 2004 model, as we mentioned before. The odometer reads 31,472. Les told us that it’s never been winter-driven, and they actually had the seat covers on the seats prior. So these seats are in near-mint condition. The car’s beautiful. If I open up this, guess what? We have a tape deck, and we have a Mark Levinson sound system, six disc changer. Now, I was really looking forward to putting a tape in there and playing a tape on the Mark Levinson sound system. The first tape I ever got was the Guns N’ Roses “Appetite for Destruction”. I forgot the tape at home. I am sorry. You guys at home will just have to imagine “Welcome to the Jungle” playing in here on the Mark Levinson sound system. But this car is in great shape. As we always talk about, accident-free, went over our CarProof. There’s not much more to say. If this car sells before this video comes out, I do have three other SC 430s that will be arriving this week. It’s convertible time. For more information on this car, click on the link below. And we’ll see you next week.
