Alyc: Hi, everyone, Alyc Keith here once again for Car of the Week. What a crazy weekend it’s been. Let’s start with last week. We had over 3,000 views on our video last week. Thanks, everyone. We were giving away the Lexus Reflections cleaning kits. They didn’t last very long. I felt bad. A lot of you shared the video and probably have not had the opportunity to come down so I’m gonna give away another 20 more of these, okay?

So if you shared the video last week and liked our page, come on down. I’m gonna give away another 20 of these. You can come to parts department and claim them. This week, we’re doing something different. Here’s what we’re gonna do. We are giving away…it’s playoff time almost. We have Calgary Flames car flags. You guys remember 2004, how awesome that was? Well, get ready, get geared up. I’m gonna give away 25 of these. All you have to do, like our page, share the video, and I’m gonna give away 25 Calgary Flames car flags this week. Before we get to the car of the week, I have to update you. Our car of the week last week has sold. The RCF is gone, the Infrared didn’t last. I’m gonna introduce you to one of our service advisors briefly before we get to the car of the week. Let’s go check it out.

We talked about the massage chairs, we’ve talked about the Bristol bar, you’ve seen our library of magazines in our customer service lounge. I am here today in our service drive-through. I wanted to talk about our loaner program.

When you buy one of our pre-owned vehicles and you come in for service, you get to drive one of our Lexus vehicles while your car is here. I’m here with Jake Aberle. He’s been here for a long time, brings a lot of experience, and he actually gets that experience from his father. I’ve known his father for a long time. He works up at [inaudible 00:01:34]. He’s been there for over 30 years as a service manager, so he knows what he’s talking about. Jake, why don’t you talk a little about our service loaner program?

Jake: Here at Lexus of Calgary, we have 15 loaners available for guests who’ve purchased a vehicle from our dealership. When you drop off in the morning, you have your choice of RXs, NXs, ISs, for example, a couple of the vehicles that we offer out to our guests. They’re always cleaned up, ready to go in the morning, and when you drop off the loaner vehicle in the afternoon to pick up your vehicle, your vehicle will look the same way as the loaner you picked up in the morning. It’ll be clean, rock chips will be taken care of and ready to go for you with the service department.

Alyc: Well, thanks, Jake. Make sure you say hi to Jake next time you’re in. Let’s go take a look at the car of the week. For the car of the week, we had an amazing Saturday here. It was the first Saturday after the car show. We sold a ton of cars. It was brought to my attention this morning that we had no ISs on our lot left. I was able to obtain this this morning, so it’s not even our website yet, just came in. It does not get any cleaner than this. This is a 2014 IS250 all-wheel drive. It has just over 15,000 kilometers. One-owner car, our car, luxury package. We’re gonna talk about the luxury package when we go inside.

Just as far as the exterior goes, while we’re out here though, this does have the 18-inch wheels and tires. The tires are like brand new. Let’s take a quick peek under the hood before going inside. Under the hood of the 2014 IS250, what you’re looking at is you’re looking at a 2.5-litre V6 engine, 204 horsepower with 184 pounds of torque. You can see some of the sound dampening material used to make it very quiet inside the cabin. This car is in near mint shape. We could probably just leave it in the showroom.

Let’s take a look on the inside of the car of the week. This thing is mint inside. Again, the kilometers are 15,941 kilometers on this vehicle. We have the paddle shifts up here. We have the back-up camera navigation. If you want to turn around, we do have a rear power sunshade, as you can see that go up and down. Main features that are in the luxury package are the blind spot monitors, the rear cross traffic alert, which we talked about a few weeks ago, and, of course, the clearance and backup sensors. This is the only IS we have. It is not gonna last, as you can tell. Spring is here. Please click on the link below for more information. I will see you next week.
